About us

We are over 3-year-old Hindu Temple and cultural centre. We have major four arms of functioning such as religious, social, cultural & charitable. We are a very busy centre with many religious events as per Hindu calendar; daily, weekly & monthly activities, clubs; inside and outside charitable activities, fundraising events etc.

Who we're looking for (As a minimum you’ll have)?
  • By becoming a memberSomeone who can demonstrate contributions made to the organizational growth through the quality service to ensure the spiritual needs of the devotees are met.
  • Should have relevant professional qualifications (e.g. Sivagama Baskara certificate, Veda Agama Certificate or equivalent)Donate towards the community cause
  • Should have Aat least 5 years working experience (vedic) (after recognized training), acceptable to the selection panel, in the Hindu Vedas and Agamas to enable the carrying out of the priestly duties.Sponsor events and activities
  • Able to conduct Poojas in both the Shaivite and Vaishnavite traditions.
  • Must be fluent with Sanskrit, and English. Should be able to speak English and two other Indian languages.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, and guide assistant priest(s) as required.
  • Be of exemplary character befitting the position of the Priest in a Hindu Temple and should be vegetarians, and abstain from alcohol, tobacco.

What you'll be doing (Key accountabilities):
  • To perform all Pooja, Archana, Abhishekam (celestial bath of deities), Homam and other ceremonies as per Veda Agamic traditions.
  • To ensure that the deities and the altar are clean and tidy at all times. This includes periodically washing and polishing of the Panchaloha (Utsava Murtis) deities.
  • To prepare Naivedyam (Anna prasadam) cooked in the Temple kitchen according to the requirement (morning, afternoon and evening) daily.
  • To liaise with the Temple Committee on all matters relating to the Religious activities.
  • Direct all requests by devotees for special Pooja (prayers), Abhishekam, Havan to the Puja Committee in the first instance.
  • To officiate in rituals conducted within the Temple e,g : weddings, religious ceremonies on request from the Temple and / or other designated representative of the Trustees and where invited by devotees, and with the agreement of the Trustees, in places outside the temple e.g. House warming, Satyanarayana Puja, anniversaries, wedding, etc.
  • To carry out such other reasonable religious duties as may be requested from time to time by the Trustees.
  • To inculcate Sanatan Dharma principles through explanation and ensure devotee participation in the rituals.
  • Developing pooja plans and delivering all key Hindu Festivals spiritual and religious programs for the diverse Hindu community with special consideration for seniors, youths and children of the community.
  • Adhere to temple rules, processes, procedures and policies.
